Default about me

I've always said that there wasn't a creative bone in my body. Then there was the day I decided to stretch myself. A local shopping center housed a huge privately owned scrapbooking store. The sign outside was promoting a beginner's class. After twisting my best friend's arm, we both signed up. When the class finished, we still didn't feel creative or confident, but we'd invested some money during the class so we plunged forward.

My friend and I would meet weekly to scrapbook. We fed off of each other's ideas and created some great pages. Spurred on by that success, I allowed myself to be dragged to a Stampin' UP Stamp Camp. Talk about a fish out of water! The terminology, tools, and techniques were completely foreign, but I went away with five great cards and the belief that I just might be a tiny bit creative. I attended Stamp Camp monthly for several years even though it meant a one hour drive each way.

On several occassions, I invited friends over to make a card or two. I was a demonstrator and didn't know it. It was exciting to see how much fun everyone was having and knowing that I was helping them stretch as I had.  So here I am - a Stampin' Up demonstrator as of September 2011.  I love what I do!  Stamping in my craft area has become my happy place.  You can too.  If you haven't already, give it a try.  I'd love to help you find your "creative bone."
